Gir is best known as the last home of the Asiatic Lion. Gir Sanctuary was created in 1965 and was declared a National Park in 1975. In Gir, there are over 350 lions, more than 250 leopards, over 50,000 ungulates, 300 species of bird, 500 species of trees and more than 2,000 species of insects.
Day 01 : Mumbai to Rajkot to Sasan Gir Arrival in Mumbai and transfer to Mumbai Domestic Airport for flight to Rajkot. Upon arrival in Rajkot, you will be met by our representative and will continue the rest of your journey to Gir by taxi. (Approx 3 hours).
Check into Gir Birding Lodge/ Lion Safari Camp.
Afternoon jeep safari in Gir National Park.
Full board.
Day 02 – Sasan Gir
Morning and afternoon jungle safari drives by jeep in Sasan Gir. Overnight at Gir Birding Lodge/ Lion Safari Camp.
Full board.
Day 03 – Sasan Gir
Morning and afternoon jungle safari drives by jeep in Sasan Gir. Overnight at Gir Birding Lodge/ Lion Safari Camp.
Full board.
Day 0 4 – Sasan Gir
Morning and afternoon jungle safari drives by jeep in Sasan Gir. Overnight at Gir Birding Lodge/ Lion Safari Camp.
Full board.
Day 05 – Sasan Gir to Rajkot to Mumbai
Morning birdwatching around the lodge. Lunch at the lodge before the drive back to Rakjot Airport for internal flight back to Mumbai (or elsewhere).
The Tour Cost Includes:-
- Accommodation at Gir Birding Lodge/ Lion Safari Camp is on a full board basis (except on Day 05)
- All A/C transportation costs
- 7 exclusive jeep safaris to Gir National Park with resident naturalist
- All current Government applicable taxes
The Tour does not includes:-
- Any international or internal airfare, or any other service not mentioned
- Video/camera charges, laundry fees or tips
- Any personal expenses such as telephone calls, table drinks, or any other expenses not specified above
- Any future increase in the entrance fees to the National Park as this is based on the current applicable entrance fees
- Any insurance for any expenses incurred for any unforeseen circumstances and for reasons beyond our control.
The Indian Government has the right to revise any park entrance fees at any time and on such occasions, the prices quoted may be subject to change, as we do not have such a margin that will absorb these cost differences.
This will also apply if the Government announces any increase in taxes or airfares.
