Southern Indian Culture & Wildlife Tour

Kathakli Dance, KochiDay 1 : Mumbai

Meeting & assistance upon arrival at Mumbai Airport and transfer to your hotel
Meals: On own basis.
Overnight at Hotel Vits.

Day 2 : Kochi
After breakfast, transfer to Mumbai Airport for connecting flight to Kochi (6E 244; 11:40 hrs / 13:25 hrs).
Meeting & assistance upon arrival at Kochi Airport and transfer to your hotel.
After lunch enjoy your guided tour of Kochi city. Evening visit to Kathakali dance centre.
Overnight in Hotel Dream.

Day 3 : Kochi
Half day sightseeing tour of Kochi.
Kochi is a very attractive city with serene creaks and lagoons, which are overhung with feathery coconut palms and picturesque islands.

After lunch, drive to Allepey to embark on a premium houseboat for a backwaters trip. Whilst on board, enjoy a relaxing and highly memorable view of the wonderful canal systems and numerous lagoons of this unique are.

This is an excellent opportunity to view local fishing methods, paddy fields and view numerous ‘backwater’ birds.

Overnight in the Alleppey Houseboat.

Day 4 : Kochi to Palakkad
After breakfast on the houseboat, drive to Palakkad. (Approx 4 hrs 30)
Rest of the day is left for you to enjoy a visit to the Tea Gardens of Palakkad.

Palakkad is situated at the foot of the magnificent Western Ghats and is blessed with great scenery, with lush green valleys, verdant hills and picture postcard scenery

Overnight at Kairali Ayurvedic Health Resort.

Day 5 : Agra – Palakkad to Ooty
After breakfast drive to Ooty. (Approx 4 hrs).

Following lunch, spend the afternoon exploring Ooty. Ooty is often called, ‘the Queen of all hill stations’. Ooty is known for its charming flowers, lofty mountains, dense forest and acres of tea estates.

Nagarhole National ParkDay 6 : Ooty to Conoor to Nagarhole
After an early breakfast, enjoy a spectacular mountain ride on the Conoor Train. This 'toy train' to Ooty in Tamilnadu, chugs across plains, plantations and forest clad hills. The 16 tunnels and tall girder bridges on the way, along with the breathtaking view, make this journey to Ooty really memorable.

In the afternoon, drive to Nagarhole and check into the lodge. (Approx 4 1/2hrs) Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka has an astonishing abundance of wildlife including large mammals such as Tiger, Leopard, Wild Indian Elephant, Dhole (Indian wild dog), and Gaur (Indian Bison). Other species present are Spotted Deer, Muntjac (Barking Deer), Mouse Deer, Four-horned Antelope, Wild Boar, Sloth Bear, Hyena, mongoose, civet, otter, and more.

Overnight at The Water Woods Resort. (Air conditioned Rooms)

Day 7 : Nagarhole

Morning & afternoon Gypsy safari drives at Nagarhole National Park.
Overnight at The Water Woods Resort.


Day 8 : Nagarhole
Morning safari drives at Nagarhole National Park.
Afternoon boat ride in the Nagarhole National Park.
Overnight at The Water Woods Resort.


Day 9 : Nagarhole
Morning visit to the Elephant camp at Nagarhole National Park.
Afternoon visit to the Beemankoili for the boat ride.
Overnight at The Water Woods Resort.

Day 10 : Nagarhole to Mysore
Morning Boat ride at Nagarhole National Park. (Because of more animal chances)
Following lunch and check out, transfer to Mysore by taxi.
Overnight at the Hotel Regaalis.


Temple, MysoreDay 11 : Mysore
A day of sightseeing, taking in Mysore Palace & Brindavan Gardens, Chamundi Hills & Srirangapatna. Mysore, also known as the ‘City of Palaces’ is situated at the base of the Chamundi Hills.

It is the capital city of the Wodeyars and has always enchanted its admirers with its quaint charm, rich heritage, and magnificent palaces.

The beautifully laid-out symmetrical gardens of Brindavan are thought to be one of the most beautifully laid out terraced gardens in the world.

The summit of Chamundi affords panoramic view of Mysore's lakes, parks and palaces. Close by to Mysore, you will come across Srirangapatna, where the entire town can be seen as an island enclosed by the River Kaveri.

This history-rich town was the capital of the Warrior-Kings Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan - The Tiger of Mysore.

Overnight at the Hotel Regaalis.

Day 12 : Mysore to Bangalore
After breakfast, drive to Bangalore. (Approx 4 hrs).
Transfer to Bangalore Airport for connecting to Mumbai.
Meeting & assistance upon arrival at Mumbai Airport and transfer to Hotel Vits.
Overnight at Hotel Vits.


Day 13 : Mumbai Airport
Transfer to Mumbai Airport for your departure flight.

The Tour cost does not includes:-
  • Any international airfare
  • Any services at Bangalore
  • Tips, video camera charges (still/digital cameras are free) or beverages/water bottles
  • Laundry or telephone calls
  • Any increase in the entrance fee to the National park. The quote is based on the presently applicable entrance fee
  • Any insurance for any expenses incurred for any unforeseen circumstances and for reasons beyond our control

In the event of any of the above mentioned hotels not becoming available we shall book alternate accommodation at a similar or next best available hotel and shall pass on the difference of rates (supplement/reduction whatever applicable) to you.

The Indian Government have the right to revise any park entrance fees at any time and on such occasions, the prices quoted may be subject to change, as we do not have such a margin that will absorb these cost differences. This will also apply if the Government announces any increase in taxes or airfares.
